How important is CET GDPI.
Though the marks in CET GDPI is only 34, but it plays a very important role in deciding whether a student will make it to the college of his/her choice. There are cases where a student who has scored 99.78%ile in written test has made it to JBIMS and there are other cases where a student who has scored 99.99%ile has not been able to secure admission to JB.
Proper preparation for GDPI could ensure a score of 30+/34 in GDPI whereas students who are not prepared could end up with a score of 12 to 15/34. This difference in marks could make or break one’s dream. Understand preparation is the key for scoring good marks no matter what your background. We know of quite a few students from average background (B.Com. from an average college) without good academics and work experience managing to score 33 or 34/34 because of their preparation.
How does one ensure that he scores well in CET GDPI.
Group Discussion
- Read various newspapers and magazines
- Prepare a separate notebook where you write points which you feel relevant for GD
- Prepare on basic statistics, examples (business, politics, etc) and famous quotations
- In the GDs that you participate note down the points put in by others so that you can use it later
- Practice GDPI with different groups so that you get to know how to handle different people in a GD

Personal Interview
- Do not copy answers from any source, write down you own answers
- Write down answers to basic questions like tell me something about yourself, your goals, why MBA, etc.
- Get the answers checked by some experts
- Prepare for the questions that can be asked in the answer that you have prepared for the above questions
- Try to make you answer different from others and structure it differently
- Be Honest
- Write down the answers that you are going to fill in the CET Form and prepare for any questions that can be asked based on the form
